A supplement carton is a regulatory surface first and a brand surface second. FDA rules (21 CFR 101.36) require a Supplement Facts panel with serving size, servings per container, active and other ingredients, and %DV where relevant — and it has to be legible at 6-8pt type in a specific format. The panel needs real estate, and it needs a stock that holds fine type without ink spread. We design cartons around your actual product and dosage layout, not a stock template — so your Supplement Facts, Other Ingredients, US manufacturer or distributor address (21 CFR 101.5), lot and expiration fields, and barcode all fit legibly with room for your brand to still lead the front panel. We print the approved artwork.

Compliance content the carton must carry

We build your dieline with the space and legibility for every mandatory element, and lay it out cleanly for retail:

• Supplement Facts panel per 21 CFR 101.36 (serving size, servings per container, nutrient names and quantities, %DV, source ingredients where required)
• Statement of identity (product name and delivery form) on the principal display panel
• Net quantity of contents (count or weight)
• Ingredient statement — "Other Ingredients:" section for excipients, binders, and coatings
• Name and place of business — US manufacturer, packer, or distributor with a US address (21 CFR 101.5). If you're an imported-product brand, this address is what carries the compliance burden.
• Lot code, batch number, and expiration date fields (usually a blank print zone for hot-stamping)
• Scannable UPC/EAN barcode
• Any warning or allergen statements your formula requires

What we will NOT print: therapeutic disease claims ("cures", "treats", "prevents", "diagnoses"). FDA classifies those as drug claims and moves the product out of the supplement regulatory pathway. Structure/function claims ("supports immune function", "helps maintain healthy hair") are permitted when accompanied by the required disclaimer — we'll lay it out for you if it's in your approved copy.

Sustainability on supplement packaging

Wellness buyers read the box as closely as the ingredient panel. We print on recyclable SBS and FSC-certified stocks, offer unbleached kraft with a matte finish for clean-label lines, and right-size every dieline so you ship less air and less material. If recyclability or FSC is part of your brand promise, tell us and we'll spec a construction and finish that supports the claim.
