Metalized stock carries a thin reflective metal layer across the full sheet, either as metallized board or a foil lamination. Printing CMYK over it lets the metal glow through translucent inks, producing vivid, pearlescent color that flat paperboard cannot. The whole surface reflects light, so the box reads premium from across a room and pops in photos. It is the strongest perceived-value lift of any finish. Pair it with spot matte varnish to make printed areas contrast against the shine.
